Tabs
Work on multiple pages at once and switch between them instantly.
Tabs let you open multiple pages at the same time and switch between them quickly. Like browser tabs, but for your workspace.
Why Use Tabs?
- Stay in your flow - Keep multiple pages open while working on a project
- Quick switching - Jump between documents, databases, and boards instantly
- Pin important pages - Keep frequently used pages always available
- Split view - Open pages side-by-side to compare or reference
Getting Started
Open a new tab by:
- Clicking the + button in the tab bar
- Using Cmd+K to search and open any page
- Right-clicking a page in the sidebar and selecting "Open in new tab"
Working with Tabs
Opening Pages
Click any page from your sidebar or search results. It opens in the current tab. To open in a new tab instead, right-click and choose "Open in new tab."
Switching Between Tabs
- Click any tab to switch to it
- Pin tabs by right-clicking and selecting "Pin tab" - they stay open even when you restart
- Close tabs with the X button or by right-clicking
Mobile Tabs
On mobile, tap the tab dropdown at the top to see all your open pages and switch between them.
Tab Actions
Right-click any tab for more options:
- Pin tab - Keeps it open permanently
- Copy link - Get a shareable link to the page
- Open in split view - Show two pages side-by-side
- Close other tabs - Close everything except this one
- Close all tabs - Start fresh
Split View
Work on two pages at once by splitting your screen:
- Right-click any tab
- Choose "Open in new pane (right)" or "Open in new pane (below)"
- Drag the divider to resize each pane
Perfect for referencing one document while writing another, or comparing different versions of a project.
Tips
- Pin your dashboard - Keep your main project page pinned for quick access
- Use split view for research - Open your notes on one side and reference materials on the other
- Close tabs regularly - Too many tabs can slow things down
- Keyboard shortcuts - Use Cmd+K to quickly open any page without clicking through folders
