Team Invitations
Add teammates to your workspace with email invitations and role assignments.
Send email invitations to bring your team into your workspace. Each person gets their own account with the right permissions for their role.
Why Use Team Invitations?
- Quick team setup - Get everyone working together in minutes
- Role-based access - Give people exactly the permissions they need
- Transparent billing - See exactly what adding team members costs ($8/user/month)
- Email workflow - People join through familiar email invitations
Getting Started
Look for the "Invite Team Members" button in your workspace. You'll find it in:
- Workspace settings
- Team member lists
- Quick actions menu
Click it to open the invitation form.
Inviting Team Members
Fill out the invitation form:
- Add email addresses - Enter one email per row
- Choose roles - Pick Member, Admin, or custom roles for each person
- Write a message (optional) - Add a personal note to the invitation
- Review costs - See how much your subscription will increase
- Send invitations - Everyone gets an email with a join link
Add multiple people at once by clicking "Add Row" for each additional team member.
Roles and Permissions
Default roles available:
- Member - Can view and edit most content
- Admin - Can manage settings and invite others
- Custom roles - Create your own permission sets
The person who created the workspace is automatically the Owner and can't be changed.
Billing and Costs
Adding team members increases your subscription by $8 per person per month.
Before sending invitations, you'll see:
- How many people you're inviting
- The monthly cost increase
- A confirmation dialog for billing changes
The charge is prorated for your current billing period, so you only pay for the time remaining in the month.
Managing Invitations
After sending invitations:
- People receive email invitations immediately
- Invitations expire after 7 days
- You can resend expired invitations
- You can cancel pending invitations
Track invitation status in your team member list - see who has joined and who is still pending.
Tips
- Use personal messages to explain what the workspace is for and why you're inviting them
- Set roles carefully - you can change them later, but it's easier to get them right upfront
- Check spam folders if people don't receive invitations
- Invite in batches if you have a large team to avoid overwhelming your email system
