Properties
The different types of columns you can add to databases.
Properties are the columns in your database. Choose the right type for each piece of information you want to track.
Text & Numbers
Text - Names, descriptions, notes, or any free-form writing.
Number - Quantities, prices, scores. Can be formatted as currency or percentages.
Choices
Select - Pick one option from a list. Great for status, priority, or category.
Multi-select - Pick multiple options. Perfect for tags or labels.
Dates & Checkboxes
Date - Deadlines, events, or any date you need to track.
Checkbox - Simple yes/no. Use for completion status or approvals.
Contact Info
Email - Click to open in your email app.
Phone - Phone numbers, formatted automatically.
URL - Links that open in a new tab.
Automatic Fields
Created - When the row was added (fills in automatically).
Last modified - When the row was last changed (updates automatically).
Advanced
Formula - Calculate values based on other columns. See Formulas.
Relation - Connect rows to another database. Link related information together.
Managing Columns
- Click + at the end of the header row to add a new column
- Click any column header to rename, change type, or delete
- Drag column headers to reorder them
