Trash
Safely delete and restore pages with a 30-day safety net.
Never lose important work by accident. The Trash feature gives you a safety net when deleting pages - everything goes to Trash first, where you can restore it or delete it permanently.
Why Use Trash?
- Mistake protection - Accidentally deleted something important? Just restore it from Trash
- Clean workspace - Remove pages you don't need without fear of losing them forever
- Team safety - Anyone can restore pages that teammates deleted by mistake
- Auto-cleanup - Pages automatically disappear after 30 days so Trash doesn't fill up
How It Works
When you delete a page, it moves to Trash instead of disappearing forever. From there, you can:
- Restore pages back to where they were
- Preview pages to see their content before deciding
- Delete permanently when you're sure you don't need them
- Search through deleted pages to find what you're looking for
Accessing Trash
Look for the trash can icon in your workspace. Click it to open Trash and see all your deleted pages.
On mobile, Trash opens as a full-screen view. On desktop, it appears as a popup window.
Restoring Pages
Found a page you want back? Just click the restore button (curved arrow icon) next to any page in Trash.
The page will go back to exactly where it was before. If the parent page was also deleted, we'll restore it to your workspace root so you can find it easily.
Previewing Pages
Not sure if a deleted page is the one you want? Click on any page in Trash to preview its content without restoring it first.
This lets you peek inside and make sure it's really the page you're looking for.
Permanent Deletion
Ready to say goodbye forever? Click the red trash icon next to any page to delete it permanently.
Warning: This can't be undone. The page and all its content will be gone for good.
Auto-Cleanup
Pages don't stay in Trash forever. After 30 days, they're automatically deleted permanently to keep your workspace tidy.
You'll see this reminder at the bottom of Trash so you know pages won't pile up indefinitely.
Tips
- Search is your friend - Use the search box to quickly find deleted pages in a crowded Trash
- Check project context - Deleted pages show which project they came from to help you identify them
- Restore early - Don't wait until the last minute - restore important pages as soon as you realize you need them
